All members receive a BASC Trust Index when their account becomes active. The BASC Trust Index is a measure of your company’s ability to mitigate risks found throughout the supply chain. Simply put, it is a measure of trust. The BASC Index offers several benefits to the private sector and to global Customs Authorities, including:

• “At-a-glance” measure of your company’s power to migtigate risks.
• Immediate feedback of a partner’s effect on the risk in your supply chain.
• Smoothing effect for mitigating risks of unknown or non-certified companies.
• Indicates a company’s commitment to global trade security.
• When used in the Risk Assessment Sandbox it helps to generate a meaningful index for customs targeting centers as supplemental Advanced Cargo Information.
